About DEFCON Trivandrum
The Def Con Trivandrum group was started in January 2018. Formed by a team of Cyber security and technology enthusiasts, from Trivandrum. DC0471 is registered as an official group with Defcon groups.
The DEF CON Groups were spawned from the annual DEF CON security conference in Las Vegas. The DEF CON Groups (DCGs or DC-Groups) are a gathering point for folks interested in the alternate applications of modern technology, referred to properly as 'hacking'. DCGs are not intended to compete with any other computer groups or communities, but rather to provide yet another gathering place for the discussion of technology and cyber security topics.
Defcon group meetings are open to anyone, regardless of their skill, age, job, gender, etc. DCGs are designed to help you learn new things, meet new people, mentor others in areas you may be strong in, and provide some cohesion within the hacker culture and it's members.
Why are we doing Malayalam podcast
This podcast is for those who want to learn the basics of cyber security and to be aware of the opportunities and dangers of the online world.
We aim to create cybersecurity awareness among youngsters and the older population alike, as we are all users of the internet in one way or another.
The reason that we have started the podcast in Malayalam is that some of the world-renowned cybersecurity professionals and ethical hackers are from Kerala and It would be beneficial for the general public to utilize the wealth of knowledge these cybersecurity professionals have accumulated over the years.
